About AfroKoli
AfroKoli is a family-run cultural café and experience space located near the beautiful Koli area in North Karelia. Our goal is to bring a warm taste of Africa to Koli through food, hospitality, culture, events, and creative activities.
We are starting with café and food services, but our vision is bigger than that. AfroKoli is a place where people can enjoy African-inspired meals, discover new cultural experiences, join workshops, attend events, and feel welcome.
Our Story
AfroKoli began from a simple idea: to create a place where African culture and Finnish nature can meet. Koli is known for its beautiful landscapes, peaceful atmosphere, and strong local identity. We wanted to add something new to that environment: a place where visitors and locals can experience African food, music, creativity, and hospitality.
The location itself has a long history, and we want to respect that while bringing fresh life and new ideas to the area. AfroKoli is built around family, community, culture, and meaningful experiences.
What We Offer
At AfroKoli, visitors can enjoy African-inspired food, coffee, ice cream, drinks, and seasonal meals. We also plan to offer cultural events, small concerts, workshops, outdoor activities, and products such as African fashion, crafts, and art.
In the future, AfroKoli may also include accommodation, equipment rental, and more experience-based services for visitors exploring the Koli area.
